Credit crunch? What credit crunch? DCI Plumbing and Heating Ltd has moved to bigger premises in Widnes, taken on more staff and invested in a new fleet of vans to cope with all the work it has.
Owner of the business Dave Cafferty says the success of the business could be due to the diversity of services that DCI offers to both domestic and commercial customers and to the high standard of workmanship that goes into every job.
"Our private domestic business is growing. Our customers like the fact that we only use our own engineers, each qualified and Gas Safe registered, and we only install high quality, high efficiency boilers, like the Main Combi Eco.
"We organise regular Main product training to keep the lads up to speed. We have just started to fit the Main unvented cylinder. It's great to get both boiler and cylinder from one manufacturer, knowing they have been designed to work perfectly together,” he adds.
"We also carry out a lot of contract work for local housing associations as part of their Decent Homes programmes. In fact we are so busy that I have taken on a contracts manager, quantity surveyor and estimator. And we offer a complete commercial and industrial heating service right across the UK,” says Dave.
Dave gets all his heating and plumbing products and accessories from Main boiler supplier Cheshire Plumbing Supplies in Widnes, owned by Mark Evans.
