Frequently asked questions

1. Can anyone claim for the extended warranty?
Yes. As long as your business is registered with Gas Safe and you are the nominated representative of that business.

2. I do NOT have a User Reference Number?
If you have not received your URN via the post or by email, please complete the form located under 'Warranty Registration'. We will then process your request and provide you with your URN reference enabling you to register your products for the extended warranty.

3. I have forgotten my User Reference Number?
You can email promotions@mainheating.co.uk, please include your contact telephone number and registered address.  We will aim to respond within 24 hours. Alternatively, you can contact us by telephone on 0844 871 1570.

4. How do I claim the extended warranty?
Once you have received your URN. Log into www.mainextra.com and select 'Register 2 year warranty', enter your URN number which will automatically fill in the form and then complete the installation address details.  'Submit' the form once completed.

5. How long do I have to claim a warranty?
Claims for warranties are to be made within 30 days from installation.

6. What do I do with the warranty card?
Please remove the warranty card enclosed within the boiler packaging and continue to register the boiler online at www.mainextra.com

7. Will my customer be informed of their extended warranty registration?
Yes. If you have successfully claimed the warranty online, your customer will receive a letter confirming the 2 year warranty within 28 days. By giving us their details you are giving us permission to contact them regarding the warranty.

8. How do I know if the product can have an extended warranty?
All Main Band A boilers are valid for the extended warranty. Registrations for other products can be done via www.mainheating.co.uk/registration.

9. My details have changed, how do I update them?
Please email us at promotions@mainheating.co.uk with any updates to your details. 

10. Are my details secure?
Your details will always be secure when using Main Extra. We will never ask for your username or credit card details via email or pop-ups, or for any purpose other than registering for the extended warranty.
